Nature Odyssey Experience

Join us on a Nature Odyssey experience in South Africa. Go on safari, follow a wildlife course, and spend time volunteering at a bush school and wildlife orphanage.

One week safari
One of the highlights of many, is a safari in South Africa. One off the well-known game reserves is the Kruger National Park. Kruger is a huge wildlife reserve, where you will find the Big5. Take a week to travel from the southern- to the northern part of Kruger. The southern part is best known for the bigger game and the northern part is heaven for bird spotters.

Safari Course
The Game Ranger Course gives you an ideal introduction to the wildlife and habitats of South Africa. It is set in a magnificent game reserve in the Greater Kruger area, with superb wildlife viewing opportunities. During this intensive game ranger course, you’ll explore topics such as ecology, animal identification, wildlife behaviour, tracking and botany alongside ranger skills such as bush craft, safety in the bush and an element of astronomy.

Volunteer at a Farm Project

As a volunteer you will have the opportunity to learn intelligent gardening techniques and you will serve as an educational resource on small scale organic food production. Some of the tasks you will be involved with:
– Increase access to nutritious fresh vegetables for the community.
– Increase the number of organic gardeners in the City Bowl.
– Build capacity and skills of youth and adults seeking work in urban food production.
– Promote connections and foster relationships.
– Improve unused or under-utilised public green space in the City Bowl.
